Buhari Receives Delegation From China, Amid Xenophobia Controversy

As the country continues to grapple with the realities of the renewed xenophobic attacks on its citizens in South Africa,  President Muhammadu Buhari has found time to welcome a delegation from China.

According to the President’s new media aide, Bashir Ahmad, Buhari received the Chinese delegation Thursday afternoon  at the Presidential Villa.4

The Special Representatives were sent by the President of China,  Xi Jinping and was led by Yang Jiechi – who is a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

From Nigeria’s perspective, present at the meeting were President Buhari’s chief of staff, Abba Kyari, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Godfrey Onyema, Minister of Tranportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and others.
