Acting President Osinbajo has been said that the FG will not toy with the increasing wave of hate speeches in the country

Osinbajo says those who are found guilty will be made to face the music

 Reacting to Osinbajo's warning, Reno Omokri says Buhari is chief culprit of the hate speech crime


Reno Omokri has said that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo must first address President Muhammadu Buhari, before warning others about hate speeches.

The former aide to Goodluck Jonathan, said Osinajo's boss is guilty.

Omokri made the assertions via a Facebook post on Wednesday, June 21.

He said: "When acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo warns that the Federal Government will deal with those making hate speech, I hope he knows his boss is guilty? His 5% versus 97% D.C.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo had earlier on Tuesday, June 20, met with Northern traditional rulers and charged them to always speak up against hate speeches and divisive voices in their respective domains.

In his opening remarks at the meeting held at the old Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, Osinbajo said the meeting had become imperative in view of a spate of divisive statements in recent weeks, pitching the South-East against the North.


He maintained that the divisive rhetoric and agitations were unjustifiable, unacceptable and often times illegal.

“You are, by virtue of your vast knowledge, wisdom and experience, both a vital link with our past, and an important guarantee for the success of our future.


This is why your role in national affairs is critical."

The acting president said that the traditional rulers had a great role to play in checking the divisive tendencies in the country

“The reason for these series of meetings is well known to all of us; it became necessary in the wake of a spate of divisive statements, in recent months and weeks, pitching the South-East against the North," Osinbajo stressed.
